About Me
With a diverse music education and many wonderful harp teachers growing up, I have had a lot of opportunities to learn about this unique and beautiful instrument. I love sharing my passion with the world around me!
About Me
Where It All Began
I received my first lever harp when I was 11 years old and instantly fell in love. Although I had been learning the piano and violin for several years previously I was ecstatic to learn such a rare and beautiful instrument.
I had the privilege of being instructed by several different and talented harp teachers who each helped me stretch and grow in different ways. Each of my instructors helped me develop new skills and techniques that have helped me become a very well-rounded harpist. This has helped me develop my own unique musical style to teaching and performing.
I have also had the wonderful opportunity to perform with several different groups. These include, Houston and Calgary based youth harp ensembles, the BYU-Idaho harp ensemble and various multi-instrument ensembles. I am currently a member of the Idaho-based harp ensemble, Nurture Harps!
More about me
Education and Experience
I have received years of private harp instruction from several of the top harpists in the US and Canada. After graduating from Brigham Young University in Idaho and being a member of the BYU-I harp ensemble, I was later invited back as the featured solo artist. I have continued to stretch my skills as both a musician and a teacher through performing with ensembles, community theatre performances, and solo works.
